Remote: The remote operates similar to a garage remote. With a press of the remote control unlock button when the door is closed, the door will unlock the deadbolt, unlatch, and then open the door. Press the unlock button when the door is open and the door will close, latch and then the deadbolt will lock. If the remote is pressed during the closing or opening cycle the unit will disengage and the door will be free flowing and in manual mode. The door will operate as a normal door if the remote is not activated; therefore people can come in an out using a key and manually opening and closing the door. The remote can be used from the inside or outside of the home and you can answer the door from virtually any room in your home. A pleasant audible tone will tell you if the system is in operation. The closed button will engage the deadbolt and lock the door.

If using the automatic close, a time delay will allow entering or exiting before the automatic close and lock cycle initiates. Once opened, the door will automatically close then lock. The remote can be used from the inside or outside of the door. A pleasant audible tone will tell you if the system is in operation. The lock button will not operate the system.

The PNT1000 release and open is ideal for those less mobile in the apartment or the home.  It can be used in an entry/exit door and geared to replace hydraulic door closers that continuously put pressure on a door and in some situations can create a barrier and even injury.  For those that are frail and lack the strength, the pressure of the door can be too much to overcome; therefore, opening of the door can be a major task.  To accommodate this problem, some retirement communities and apartments have taken off the door closer so that access is free flowing.
